The Mara Triangle is one of Africa’s most important wildlife ecosystems — home to the iconic predators, elephants, rhinos, and countless other species.
Every day, the Mara Conservancy works on the ground to safeguard this landscape through active conservation, security, and community partnership.
Your support helps us:
Conduct 24/7 security and anti-poaching patrols
Operate ranger units, tracker dogs, and ivory detection canine teams
Remove snares and protect wildlife from illegal hunting
Maintain roads, ranger stations, and essential park infrastructure
Monitor elephants and lions to reduce human–wildlife conflict
Support surrounding communities through jobs, schools, and local projects
Vaccinate community dogs to protect wildlife and people
Promote responsible, sustainable tourism
Thanks to these efforts, thousands of poachers have been stopped, tens of thousands of snares removed, and the Mara remains a safe haven for wildlife.
But conservation is ongoing work — and it depends on people like you.
Your donation directly funds boots-on-the-ground protection and keeps the Mara wild for future generations.
An already dire financial situation has been compounded by the heaviest rains seen in 55 years. The unprecedented rainfall has caused extensive damage to the environment and infrastructure, adding additional burden to an already precarious financial situation.
There are a few places where a financial gift can have a meaningful impact.
Here are some examples of what your money can do:
$10 - Ranger daily food ration
$25 - One week food for a tracker dog
$50 - Patrol vehicle daily fuel
$100 - One day desnaring patrol
$200 - One aerial anti-poaching patrol
$300 - Monthly veterinary service for patrol dogs
As guardians of the Mara, we need to continue to ensure that the environment and wildlife are adequately cared for and protected.
